3 Great New Maps In Our Store

1872 Texas County Map by Warner & Beers. Perhaps the only Texas County map to show the short-lived Wigefarth county in the lower Panhandle. 1910 Texas Raod Map ~ Gallup ~ One of the earliest Texas State road maps

This is a high resolution reproduction of the very scarce C.H. Rogers Indexed map of Greater Fort Worth. The original is in the Electric Books collection. It is very detailed and brings out many places and names that have faded from memory in the past 80+ years.

Text Box: This is a major update of one of our most popular maps. To the original Lonesome Dove Trails map we added new detail and better coloration and additional interpretation. In addition, we added new detail taken from Larry McMurtry’s Comanche Moon, recently seen as an excellent television miniseries, to show the early careers of Gus & Call and their comrades in the Texas Rangers. Covering the last Comanche wars from the period 1857 to just past the Civil War, Comanche Moon is a great story that also gives more perspective to the Lonesome Dove drive of the early 1880’s. The additions to the map will put the geographical perspective in place and there are interpretive notes as well.
